With sustainability and the environment central to Medik8's ongoing brand mission, new packaging has been created for Press & Glow™ to help reduce plastic waste.

Balance is key when it comes to exfoliation; overuse of powerful exfoliating acids every day can often lead to skin sensitisation and premature skin ageing.

PHAs are made up of larger molecules than other exfoliating acids, meaning they don’t penetrate the skin as deeply and instead work on the skin’s surface.

This makes PHAs the perfect match for those with sensitive skin, who want to achieve true daily exfoliation whilst keeping their skin barrier healthy.

Gluconolactone is a high-performing PHA that breaks down the glue between dead skin cells so they are easily shed to reveal that coveted, radiant skin surface.

As PHAs are humectant ingredients, they help to hydrate the skin while exfoliating for ultimate comfort during and after use.

Gluconolactone is proven to work perfectly in combination with vitamin A[1], as it can help to promote vitamin A absorption and deliver the anti-ageing ingredient to exactly where it is needed in the skin.

Prickly Pear Extract helps to stimulate the activity of natural exfoliation enzymes, helping the skin’s exfoliation cycle to return to a more youthful pace.

This again works in combination with vitamin A for all-round skin cell rejuvenation.

Aloe vera and acai extract use their calming properties to reduce visible inflammation and redness, whilst hydrating the skin.

HOE TE GEBRUIKEN

Unlock by turning the top half of the pump counterclockwise until it clicks to activate.

After cleansing in the morning and evening, hold a facial pad (reusable is best) firmly over Press & Glow and press down 3-4 times.

Wipe the cotton pad over the skin, avoiding the delicate area around the eyes.

Turn the pump clockwise until it clicks into place.

For Press & Glow refill: Transfer the saved pump from your previous Press & Glow bottle to the Press & Glow refill.

Patch testing prior to use is recommended.

Key Ingredients:

*5.5% Gluconolactone

A high performing, water-soluble PHA, gluconolactone is converted into gluconic acid to gently exfoliate and hydrate skin, resulting in a visibly more even, smoother skin surface.

*​Prickly pear extract
A natural enzyme activator, it helps increase the rate of skin exfoliation and subsequently the rate of cell renewal. This can help improve skin clarity and glow, as well as the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

*​​Aloe Vera
Ideal for reducing skin irritation and improving the skin's moisture-retaining properties, as well as helping to prevent free radical damage.

*​Acai Extract
It can help reduce inflammation while protecting the skin from free radical damage.

Pumps are notoriously difficult to recycle, so we wanted to ensure that the pump could be reused once the bottle is empty.

Save the pump and clear cap and place them on the Press & Glow™ refill.

The aluminum caps and the empty bottle are recyclable.

Press & Glow is a high-performance PHA toner that can be used twice daily.

Why PHAs? PHAs, or polyhydroxy acids, are a “next-generation” acid group that allow for slower, more gradual exfoliation.

Due to their molecular size, they are non-irritating and do not sting, unlike some other acids.

Medik8's choice of PHA is gluconolactone; this gentle acid helps to exfoliate the top dead skin cells to reveal fresh, healthy, radiant skin.
