Refill Exfoliating 2% BHA Tonic Gentle-Release Salicylic Acid

With sustainability and the environment at the heart of Medik8's ongoing business mission, new packaging has been created for Press & Clear™ to help reduce plastic waste. Pumps are notoriously difficult to recycle, so we wanted to ensure that the pump could be reused once the bottle is empty. Save the pump and clear cap and place them on the Press & Clear™ refill. The aluminum caps and the empty bottle are recyclable. Press & Clear, a true innovation within BHA skin care, has been developed to maintain a perfect balance between strength and softness for the skin. Slow-release encapsulated salicylic acid comes in a unique, pH-balanced formula to ensure maximum results and comfort – all in a non-sticky, non-stinging and non-drying formula.

Usage:

1. Unlock by turning the top half of the pump counterclockwise until it clicks to activate.
2. After cleansing in the morning and/or evening, hold a cotton pad (reusable is best) firmly over Press & Clear and press down 3-4 times.
3. Wipe the disc over the face, avoiding the delicate skin around the eyes.
4. Turn the pump clockwise until it clicks into place. Store out of direct sunlight.
5. We recommend that new users apply once a day and note the skin's response, then use up to twice a day.

With Press & Clear we recognize that impure skin is sensitive skin. Overloading the skin, especially sensitive, impure skin, with powerful treatments can lead to a reduced skin barrier. The skin becomes susceptible to damage, inflammation and further breakouts. At Medik8 we have formulated Press & Clear to deliver incredible results with daily use, while supporting the skin barrier to maintain a healthy skin complexion.

1. Maximum Strength BHA (2%) Salicylic Acid is oil soluble and can penetrate deep into pores to dissolve blockages that can lead to breakouts and congestion. Press & Clear promotes a visibly cleansed, brightened skin complexion. Salicylic acid is optimally released with our gentle release crystal encapsulation system. This releases the salicylic acid slowly to prevent discomfort on sensitive, fragile skin, while maintaining strength.
2. Press & Clear has a very skin-friendly pH of ~5.5. While other exfoliating acids, such as AHAs, require low pHs to work on the skin, salicylic acid is special because it is an effective exfoliant at both low and more neutral pHs. Our balanced pH contributes to the non-stinging, gentle experience when using Press & Clear.
3. The brightening ingredient, tranexamic acid, works to visibly even out skin tone, minimizing stubborn blemishes and post-blemish blemishes.
