Carnosine is a multi-tasking dipeptide that protects against both glycation and infrared light. Glycation is a natural ageing process where dietary sugars react with proteins such as collagen, turning them into advanced glycation end products (AGEs) that cannot be renewed, leading to fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. Advanced Day Eye Protect uses carnosine to inhibit the glycation reaction and protect the skin around the eyes from glycation-induced ageing.
